Taken from her forthcoming album Clashes, Warsaw based artist Brodka has released ‘Santa Muerte’. The follow up to ‘Horses’, ‘Santa Muerte’ is a similarly euphoric and haunting beast with each lyric and rhythm more loomingly foreboding than the next. Inspired by a trip to Mexico, Brodka explains that the song is “like a conversation with death but treating it as a conversation with a friend. We have this relationship with death all of our lives”. Already recording three successful albums in her home country, Brodka’s Clashes (out May 13) was recorded in both Poland and Los Angeles with producer Noah Georgsson (Joanna Newsom, Cate Le Bon).
